Guests visit your club with a lot of questions and usually no expectations of what Toastmasters is.
It is important we have a clear guest kit to offer them that achieves a few purposes. It introduces and welcomes them to the club, it invites them to join when they're ready, and shows them a little bit of what is offered in the education program. It is extremely important to not overload them with too much information, as it leads to overwhelm and them not returning.
Below are the five key documents that should make up your guest kit. Have a bunch printed and clipped together ready for every meeting. All members should be aware of how to befriend a guest at the meetings and can explain the club to a guest.
The member who sits with the guest has the Befriend A Guest Guide and has a warm conversation, walking them through the guest kit and any questions they may have (and collects their email address)
